Dispatch

Every piece is dispatched within seven working days of confirmed payment. You’ll receive a tracking email as soon as your shipment is on the way.

Where we ship

Worldwide. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination:

• UK — flat rate, fully insured, typically 2–3 working days via signed courier.
• EU — flat rate, 5–10 working days, fully insured.
• Rest of world — flat rate, 7–14 working days, fully insured. For larger pieces a bespoke quote may follow.

Packaging — shipped rolled

Canvases are taken off their stretcher bars, carefully rolled, and shipped in a rigid protective tube. This is the safest way to move a large canvas — and it keeps the delivery cost a fraction of what crated freight for a stretched canvas would cost you.

Re-stretching

Canvases arrive rolled and will need re-stretching onto stretcher bars by the buyer. Any good picture framer can stretch (and frame, if you wish) a canvas. It’s a routine job, and even with it added you come out well ahead of international crated shipping.

Customs and duties

Buyers outside the UK are responsible for any import duties, VAT, or customs fees applicable in their destination country. We declare the full sale value on all paperwork.

Lost or damaged in transit

All shipments are fully insured. If a piece arrives damaged, photograph the packaging and the piece immediately and email archive@davesharp.art within 48 hours of receipt. We will arrange a claim and a replacement or refund.
