Authenticity

Last updated · May 2026

Draft. If you issue physical certificates of authenticity, describe their format here.

What you receive

Every piece in the Dave Sharp archive is an original, one-of-one painting. Each piece is:

  • Signed — on the front or verso, in the artist’s hand
  • Dated — the year of painting recorded on the verso
  • Numbered — the archive piece number recorded on the verso
  • Documented — a written certificate of authenticity accompanies every piece

About the work

This archive contains studio paintings — work created in Dave’s studio between gigs and tours, separate from the live speed-painting performances he’s known for. Different in pace, often different in subject — but the same hand. Provenance and authenticity for every piece is guaranteed under the terms of sale.

No prints, no reissues

Once a piece sells, it leaves the archive. There are no editions, no prints, no posters, and no plans to make any. The piece you purchase is the only one.
